After sale of the Grotto Home, the Grotto met at various places, the first of THE HAIR-EM which was Monroe Hall on West Main Street at a rental of $15.00 per BEAUTY SALON month. During these years the Grotto continued to grow and sponsored 208 Eddy Street 345-7707 carnivals, circuses, in the community.
The plot of ground on which the Grotto now stands was purchased in the ear- "Congratulations" ly "40's." In 1954 construction was started on the present building. MOUNDBUILDERS ORDER OF The Grotto, through its contributions to the Humanitarian Fund of the DEMOLAY Supreme Council Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm, "Congratulations" provides nationwide funds for the battle against "Cerebral Palsy" and BRUCKER and KISHLER furnishes without charge "Denistry for the Handicapped."
